Thanks Doug. I went the modules.cpio.gz route with no success, but I think
that's because that file has no 2.2.16-3 modules. So I'm going to dust off
my patch & compile skills.

Do you know if rawhide's 2.2.16-8 kernel has the 5.1.31 driver and would
be safe to install?
