Look for the "GtkRC" line in the "[gui]" section of
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf
You can either point GDM at an existing theme, which has bigger fonts,
etc, or you can copy the Default theme to a different name, and edit
it's gtkrc file. I believe that sizing up the fonts will cause all of
the widgets to increase in size. Play around with it a bit.
