Let me ask my question first, then explain the background:
How can I control Computer A's PPP connection from Computer B (they are
connected by ethernet)?
I have a computer running as a gateway for my network and I want to be
able to control the connection remotely. I tried just using the autodial
features, but there are windows machines on the network that constantly
request internet access and hold the connection open all day. Right now,
I just have a user called "connect" so I telnet to the box and login in as
connect and it connects, but this won't work from scripts. I really want
it to work from scripts! Any ideas? I was thinking maybe pinging a
certain port, but I'm not sure how to implement that. Thanks...
