I'm pretty sure the answer is yes for all Linux distros. I have booted a
SuSe linux box into single user mode before but it wasn't to change the root
password. Why not try it and see for yourself?

Hey there,

Yes, I know this isn't the place for this, but I have a question. Under
RedHat, if you lose the root password, you boot up under single user
mode and change it.

Does this work on SuSE and is it the same process? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks

Kevin
