this is very interesting that you mentioned this.  I am having a *lot* of
trouble with RH 6.2 with similar problems.  I didn't post the question
since I thought it might have been an isolated situation.  I have almost
no success at all installing on any of 20 different P-II 400's 128 MB ram.
I have tried booting from the CD, from a floppy, and with the updated disk
image and there was no difference, it would usually hang at 77 MB
remaining, however the mouse would still move around on the screen.  I've
had this problem with 2 different burns of the 6.2 CD.  RH 6.0 works
flawlessly though. I should also mention that this is with 'expert'
install.  Text install will fail with different problems.  The erratta
pages don't mention anything about this either.  

 I tried installing it again last night and I only had it hang once, the
rest seem to be installing for some reason now..  try the updated boot.img
and make sure the computer boots from the floppy, then see if it hangs..
