Hello All,
I have been having immediate problems with RH 7 after a fresh
install.
1) The load average reads 1.0 or greater all the
time. "top" reports that nothing is running away. Nothing in the
/var/log/messages , I also have a pinstripe box that is doing the exact
same thing.
2) Xinerama does not work with my dual Voodoo 3s. XFree
-configure does a good job of setting up the configuration file and after
I issue the command "startx -- +xinerama" the desktop looks okay,
allthough gnome was not xinerama aware, but as soon as I move a xterm
accross screens, the display locks up. I can ssh into the box and reboot
it, so at least I don't have to wait for a fsck everytime.
Currently I am issuing the command "startx" and using
Windowmaker. I can not move windows accross screens, but at least I can
now work.
Anybody have any ideas? Anybody seen this before?
