Software RAID, yes.  Hardware RAID, no.  That's one of the benefits of 
software RAID - being able to use different size disks to create the RAID 
array.  Try to make the partitions as close to the same size as possible - 
the software RAID subsystem will make the overall mirror the same size as 
the smallest partition in the array.
