Has anyone gotten Oracle 816R2 to run on RedHat 7? I have installed fine,
however, when I try and start an instance
it simply hangs in svrmgrl, never starts any of the processes, and doesn't
seem to consume any memory. This is a 1 gig
box and I am using init.ora's files that are small enough to run on 128meg.
Just for grins, I went ahead and recompiled the kernel and adjusted the
shared memory parameters (even though my instance was not trying to grab
more than the linux defaults) and still the same thing.
Anyone have any feedback on this?
