I don't know about documentation on this subject, but there is not too much
to this. Just create partitions for the different distro's and install them.
If you use an older lilo make sure you put the different /boot partitions
below 8GB. The easiest is to use just one installation to handle the
bootloader.
So you just install the new distribution, without installing lilo, boot to
your first distro, add an entry for the new one in lilo.conf and run lilo.
Simple as that.
