I did this before , that's what i did:
i formatted the win98 partition.
i installed windows 2000.
(you can also install windows 2000 keeping windows 98)
normally windows 2000 doesn't remove LILO
if so , just upgrade linux to have lilo installed.
normally there's a linux command which makes only LILO.
i would like if someone answers about this.
