Hello All
Ok, the old user of my linux box had a thing for the color
pink and lots of information. My console prompt is hideous(stretches 2
lines of bold, pink poetry).
I'm wanting to get this back to something readable like "me@host dir#"
I can change it temporarily by doing the whole "PS1="\u@\h \W$" thing,
but I need a permanent fix.
I've added the exact line I type at the console to change the prompt, to
the bashrc file.
I've also checked the Xdefaults for any type of overriding that could
happen but with
no luck. Any suggestions?
