thanks. i've managed to create a working copy of ifcfg-eth0 using linuxconf.
i set net device to be eth0. however, i've left the kernel module and other
options empty. although the xircom pcmcia network card is now working, i
would like to know if i've done it the correct way. should i specify the
kernel module and create a alias in the /etc/modules.conf? if so, what
module should it specify?
