Can anyone explain the following to me? I was able to update glibc-devel,
with no problems, using up2date...but up2date won't update glibc itself,
so I obtained the RPMS. Here's the result:
linux:~#rpm -qa | grep glibc
glibc-2.2-9
glibc-devel-2.2-12
linux:~#rpm -U glibc-2.2-12.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
glibc-common = 2.2 is needed by glibc-2.2-12
/usr/bin/getent is needed by stunnel-3.10-2
linux:~#rpm -i glibc-common-2.2-12.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
glibc < 2.2-12 conflicts with glibc-common-2.2-12
