I'm looking for help in installing the Aureal soundcard driver from
SourceForge.net
I'm running Red Hat 7.0 (2.2.x kernel) and have a Turtle Beach Montego
soundcard.
I've downloaded au88xx-1.1.1.tar.gz from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/aureal.
I've extracted the archive into a temporary directory /tmp/aureal/
I'm logged in as root and from /tmp/aureal/ I type "make install20".
I then have the following messages flash up the screen.

make install AUCHIP=AU8820
make[1]: Entering directory '/tmp/aureal'
cd -D__KERNAL__ -DMODULE -DAU8820 -mpenitum -06 -fomit-frame-pointer -Wall
-pi
pe -I/usr/src/linux/include -c -o au_audio.o au_audio.c

I think it means I've got something misconfigured in the kernel, but as my
sig file states; I'm a bit new to this. :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
