Hello,
I've been running RedHat Linux 6.x for a several
months with no problems. I tried rebooting today and got the following
message after entering my login name:
Login: PAM failure, aborting
Success
INIT: Id "1"
respawning too fast:disabled for five minutes
INIT: cannot execute
/etc/X11/prefdm
INIT: Id "x"
respawning.....
I am logging in as root.
Reboots seem to come up properly. Usually
the non-X11 login is skipped and Gnome comes up and requests a login and
password.
Any ideas???
i am currently using someone else's
computer. Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
thank you.
