hi, in rc.local try adding foll. line
ipx_configure --auto_interface=on --auto_primary=on

at console of NetWare server type:
:set reply to get nearest server=on

then at linux box side say ifconfig
it shows various ethernet frames with network number.

And then slist again, probably now it should work !
