Dear all,
I'm using RH6.2 2.2.14-5.0smp, and I tried to put some info in
/etc/issue or/and /etc/issue.net as what did by Mandrake as pre-login
message.
the default info of /etc/issue is
Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot)
Kernel 2.2.14-5.0smp on an i686
Then, I tried to change it by adding just a welcome line as below for
testing...
Welcome to mail.abc.com
Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot)
Kernel 2.2.14-5.0smp on an i686
but once I tried to telnet in, it still shown the old once, and once
reboot the machine, the contain of /etc/issue or issue.net will change
to original once???
Is there other setting that I need do for it to work? and what is the
different between issue and issue.net??? Please advise....
