Hi all, anyone can help with this ??
im trying to install framebuffer support because i saw that Wolverine
installation based on fb works fine with my laptop so i think must install
it to get X working; i have a sis630 video card, and my monitor only works
to 800x600.
I have followed all the steps mentioned on the howto, but still failed,
maybe because those pages are for old kernels.
the steps i did:
1) install FBDev and fset
2) make menuconfig and enable all fb options (but which are the good
ones?)
3) make dep
4) make clean
5) nohup make bzImage &
6) rename bzImage to bzImage.myker
7) move bzImage.myker to /boot
8) edit lilo.conf and make it
9) reboot fails :(
if i write the vga=0x315 on lilo i get a message of "bad mode" and some
choices about rows and colums but also fails .
please help me!!!!
