Subject: cisco password

Hi,
I managed to change the password for cisco switch by using the command:
enable password password
but no how do i change the password for telnet. I mean when i telnet to cisco switch it asks for a password. That is not privileged one.

Sorry, do you no the password? it's really easy if you do.

1.) >From your PC telnet into the router and login into the switch.

2.) Make sure you are at the prive prompt, not user mode.

3.) And it really depends what type on ISO you have, you can have the SET
commands or Cisco ISO like router command line.

set password or  enable secret password

Then it will verify the passwords and before you get out, establish another
telnet session to make sure your new passwords work, while you have the other
still login just in case you password change did not work for some reason.
