You need xinetd package but not sure if ipop3 is part of that or not. I
mean it's configured via xinetd but not sure if the ipop3 is part of that
package to install it. This replaced inetd starting in RH 7.0. Just go to
/etc/xinetd.d/ipop3 and edit it and disable = on , or chkconfig ipop3 on ,
or run /usr/sbin/setup go to services configuration and add/remove what you
want then restart xinetd via services xinetd restart or /etc/init.d/xinetd
restart.
