I was wondering if anybody has some references to good online docs on
(building) RPM's. Neither the RPM-HOWTO nor maximum-RPM satisfy my needs (the
latter being rather extensive though). I am looking for a doc that specifies
all possible tags that can be used in the spec file (no, not the source :).
I am rebuilding gd-1.8.3 for RH 6.2, and I would like to know if it is
possible to define multiple shlibver's. You can make '$rpm -qp --provides gd-
1.8.3-6.2.i386.rpm' return multiple aliases for libgd using 'Provides:', but
the provides tag doesn't change the dependencies between the packages. Fe, if
I add 'Provides: libgd.so.1' to the spec file rpm --provides returns
libgd.so.1 as well, but this does not satisfy the dependency of other packages
that rely on libgd.so.1.
