Are you talking about MPI and PVM?  I think both packages are on the
Red Hat CD, I know they were included with 6.2.  

        I've personally used MPI with success on Red Hat 6.2, I don't
believe there would be any problems using it on 7.2.  

        MPI = Message Passing Interface
        PVM = Parallel Virtual Machine
