I've successfully installed SSH 1.2.31 on a RH6.2 box that I'm going to use for my home network router and gateway. I conducted the canned Server install for this box. This box will have no peripherals connected to it, so I need to do remote adminstration with SSH. I had no problems with the three step; configure, make and make install process on this box.
When I repeated this process on another RH6.2 box on the home network, (Originally was a canned Gnome install for RH6.0 with a RH6.2 upgrade) I encountered some problems with the 'make' step. There were some difficults with finding 'socket.h'. My hunch is this box doesn't have all of the appropriate libraries installed. Does anyone know what might be missing from this box's filesystem?
