Ok, after logging in as root and running lilo, it did add the two options
(linux * and win). Here is my current lilo.conf:
{start}
boot=/dev/hda5
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
message=/boot/message
lba32
default=linux
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.2-2
label=linux
read-only
root=/dev/hda6
append="hdd=ide-scsi"
other=/dev/hda2
optional
label=win
{end}
Anyone see a problem with this? LILO still doesn't get invoked on reboot.
Does the /boot partition need to be made "active"?
