I have a fairly basic RedHat 7.1 system, with some small changes:
1) I have upgraded the aic7xxx driver in an SMP 2.4.7 kernel.
2) As I have a Matrox G550 display card, I have updated the mga driver in
XFree86 4.0.3 with one from the Matrox web site.
I am getting core dumps from various Gnome programs.
If I attempt to change the icon for a panel object by clicking on the icon in
the Properties dialog, I get the following messages:

If I start up gnorpm, and select a category to display the packeges, I get
similar messages:

I am using the sawmill window manager with the default theme.
I have tried leaving the user font unset and setting it to a named font.
Using locale_config, I have repeated these dumps with LANG= and LANG=en_GB (in
/etc/sysconfig/i18n), with similar results.
I think I have all the font RPMs installed.
I am convinced that this is a configuration issue, but I have no ideaa what.
Can anyone out there help with this?
