Is this a 7.2 (Enigma) system? I believe kernel 2.4.7-10 is the kernel that shipped with 7.2. There are updates available for many packages, including the kernel. The updates will probably fix the cdrom problem. In the meantime, As 'root' run: depmod -ae modprobe ide-cd That should also fix the problem. - -D - -- pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/pgpkey.txt - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8LnrneMAUbzJhSVcRAh7nAJwJ4sn6eNIPGEjos0lwCFARPRR2jgCaAu4n 2xiMEBeAqcqAWC1Xigv7OeY= =wnH3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
