Alternatively if you don't want to pay for Partition magic here's how I
did it.

Install Win98
Defragment
Get 'Ranish partion mgr.' from CNET.com (you could do this first of
course)
Read the instructions then squeeze your Win98 (currently hogging the
whole disk) down to whatever suits you leaving a completely unaccounted
for part of disk.
Install redhat, it should be happy to just move into the unaccounted for
part of your disk wihtout question or difficulty.
