Hello Brian, Your cdrom is not linked to /dev/cdrom. It appears that you have a SCSI cdrom, look at the full output from dmesg and you should see which device the cdrom is on. Try mounting that device (usually something like /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, etc) and see what happens.
