I'm betting that you're just hitting an old annoyance in SecureCRT. Somewhere in its connection properties is the opportunity to select the type of server to which you're connected. It defaults to either 'standard' or 'Datafellows'. Whichever it is, change it to the other one. Or use a different ssh client. http://www.ssh.com has a Windows client free for personal use.
