Hi, I have an IBM Thinkpad running Red Hat 7.2. Its networking protocol is DHCP. I can't run a remote X session on this machine. For example, I put it on our network, and do 'xhost +192.168.230.201', which is a machine on our Linux NIS network. Then when I log in to 192.168.230.201 from the Thinkpad, and try to run an X app, like Netscape, I get a message like "cannot connect to newt.emeraldbiostructures.com:0.0 [the Thinkpad]". Is there something in addition to 'xhost' that needs to be done to run a remote X session on a DHCP machine? Thanks,
