Hi, Is there any easy way to give user previlege to restart network, without the user su to root? I thought I could do it using sudo & sudoers file, but it didn't work. As I had suspected, the following error came up:
Shutting down interface eth0: Users cannot control this device. [FAILED] ifcfg-lo is not a normal file Users cannot control this device. rm: cannot unlink `/var/lock/subsys/network': Permission denied Setting network parameters: [ OK ] Bringing up interface lo: ifcfg-lo is not a normal file Users cannot control this device. [FAILED] egrep: ifcfg-eth0: Permission denied Bringing up interface eth0: Users cannot control this device. [FAILED] touch: creating `/var/lock/subsys/network': Permission denied Thanks.
