Ok my Laptop is using a Netgeart FA410tx PCMCIA card. it looks like its working. when I go into /var/log/messages I find these entries:
pcmcia: cardmgr cardmgr[773]: starting, version is 3.1.22 rc: Strating pcmcia: succeeded cardmgr[773]: config error, file './config.opts' line 8 : no function bindings <------- This line conserns me, Does anyone know how to fix it. cardmgr[773]: watching 2 sockets cardmgr[773]: initalizing socket 0 cardmgr[773]: socket0: NE2000 Compatible Fast Eithernet cardmgr[773]: excuting: 'modprobe 8390' cardmgr[773]: excuting: 'modprobe pcnet_cs' cardmgr[773]: excuting: './network start eth0' kernel: eth0: NE2000 (DL10022 rev 30): io 0x300, irq3, hw_addr 00:E0:98:87:7F:E7 kernel: eth0: found link beat kernel: eth0: autonegotion complete : 100baset-FD selected dhcpcd[863]: timedout waiting waiting for a valid DHCP server response <-------------- This line also concerns me. I have also tried entering the command: dhcpcd -s 24.124.5.225 Keeps timing out. Now then it looks like the PCMCIA card is working however there is that error in the configfile. Which reads: include port 0x100-0x4ff, port 0xc00-0xcff Not sure what the problem there is. Or is it a problem with DHCPCD? If so what needs fixing? My /etc/dhcpcd directory is blank should there be something there? _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
