I have an HP Pavilion 8668C that has in integrated Intel i810 Video Card along with an ATI Rage 128 Pro Video Card in a PCI slot.
I installed the ATI video card to replaced the Intel integrated video card, so I don't use the Intel video card at all. Windows properly assigns different IRQ's to the two different cards, but Redhat Linux 7.2 assigns both card IRQ 10. This creates an IRQ conflict that prevents X from being started. There's no way to disable the Intel integrated video card in the BIOS. I even upgraded the BIOS from 1.09 to 1.16 but that did nothing. I looked all over the motherboard for a jumper to disable the Intel integrated video card but found nothing. Motherboard is Mercury G-810. How can I force Linux to assign different IRQ's to the video cards? Thanks in advance.
