Thanks for your reply, it makes sense, but I am still tripping over
rpm.

I was doing a "freshen", so if I "install" those two alone:

  [root@borg rpm]# rpm -ivf i386/mozilla-nspr-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
i386/mozilla-nss-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  error: failed dependencies:
        mozilla < 0.9.9 conflicts with mozilla-nspr-0.9.9-12.7.2
  [root@borg rpm]#

If I "install" the whole bundle of new RPMs:

  [root@borg rpm]# rpm -ivh `cat 2002-05-16`
  error: failed dependencies:
        mozilla < 0.9.9 conflicts with mozilla-nspr-0.9.9-12.7.2
  [root@borg rpm]#

The "bundle" being today's batch:

  [root@borg rpm]# cat 2002-05-16
  ./i386/htdig-3.2.0-2.011302.i386.rpm
  ./i386/htdig-web-3.2.0-2.011302.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-chat-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-devel-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-dom-inspector-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-js-debugger-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-mail-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-nspr-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-nspr-devel-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-nss-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-nss-devel-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mozilla-psm-0.9.9-12.7.2.i386.rpm
  ./i386/nautilus-1.0.4-47.i386.rpm
  ./i386/nautilus-devel-1.0.4-47.i386.rpm
  ./i386/nautilus-mozilla-1.0.4-47.i386.rpm
  ./i386/galeon-1.2.0-4.i386.rpm
  ./i386/libmad-0.14.2b-3.i386.rpm
  ./i386/mpg321-0.2.9-2.5.i386.rpm

Looks to me like there is a 0.9.9 Mozilla in there. What am I
missing?

Thanks,

-kb, the Kent who is trying to be good about staying up to date.
