I've been having trouble with mount and umount on my machine. I'm running RHL
7.2 with kernel 2.4.9-31 and mount-2.11g-5.

When doing a umount on an async filesystem, the FS will flush before it
unlocks the device (Zip drive). This can take some time. If a mount is done
on the same device, the two processes will dead-lock (from the looks of the
system load: 2.0) and the device is never unlocked.

I can kill the automount process, but I cannot kill the mount/umount processes
and therefore cannot release the drive.

Whenever this happens, I have to reboot to bring it all back to normal. Does
anyone know if this is a known problem or if there's a fix to it? It's so
nice to use automount for my removable media, but these lockups (when they
happen) drive me nuts!

Thanks!
-Michael
