How can I have users change their passwords if they don't have shell access? The biggest problem we have right now is people's passwords expiring (after a mandatory set period) and them having to call IT to get it re-issued again. Generally they start complaining when they start seeing that 'Your password will expire in # days.' (14 days or less) message every time they check their email. Is there some sort of mechanism where users can reset their passwords themselves without having to give everyone shell access, and having to install a terminal program on their system so they can SSH into the server? Most, if not all of them run some flavor or another of Winblows or MacOS n... and the server is ... you guessed it, Red Hat ...
