It uses the AIC-7892 chip which is supported by Linux. I use the 29160 which uses the same chip. It works OK. I also use the 29040U2W which seems to have a driver bottleneck at approx.65 MB/s. Other OS'es allow it to operate it to approx. 78 MB/s (Soft RAID0).
