Hi

I've a brand new ibm xseries server with an integrated ethernet adapter
(pcnet32 driver)
I installed rh 73 and compiled a new kernel with vlan (and other 802.1
stuff) enabled
I installed the vlan-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm to get vconfig

when I first boot, using vconfig tells me "/proc/vlan/config does not
exist". ok, i load 8021q module "manually"
then trying vconfig add eth0 1 tells me "Inappropriate ioctl for the device"

I think something is wrong with eth0 config, which makes it not support
vlan. should I have to add some extra parameter to the pcnet32 module ? use
some extra config command ?

any help appreciated

tia

Mais ne pourrais-je pas l'être mieux ?
