It does, however there are current bug lists and Symantec is "working on it".  I have had several unsuccessful restores from supposedly successful dumps.  Error is related to faulty read of data (unexpected packet type; found 3) and haults the restore.  More info here:

Don't trust your dump of ext3 without testing it first!
