Hardware Compatibility Help----- Original Message ----- From: Sarig Scudder To: Red Hat List Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 10:50 AM Subject: Hardware Compatibility Help
I am looking into purchasing a new machine and I'm having a little trouble verifying the Hardware Compatibility. I have looked at the Redhat HCL but can't seem to find much there. Are there any other sources of information for what hardware is compatible with Redhat 7.2 and above. I have listed below the proposed hardware for the system in case anyone is familiar with it. CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHZ Motherboard: Spacewalker/Shuttle AV41 (VIA P4X266 Chipset) Video Card: GeForce2 MX 400 64MB AGP Sound Card: Creative 128 Mouse: Genius Optical Monitor: Mag Flat 786 PF 17" Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I am buying a system with the idea of using Linux as the primary operating system and I'm not sure how to figure out where the snags might be. Thanks in Advance Sarig Should be no problems there - most modern hardware will work just fine.
