I found some archives about similar issues, but this is not quite the same.

We have a linux file server that serves as our backup server for many services.
One of them being a database server running on NT.
Because I the database server is running NT, we open samba share to the NT
server.

Recently I decided to duplicate the database files in another linux backup
server.
I opened the share again using smbmount. The share is opened fine, but any
files that are larger than 2 G are reported wrong.
They are reported as being over 13Terabytes in size.
If I copy those files to another share, it never stops until my storage is
full.
I tried connecting using smbclient, and then using get command, and I was
succesfully able to get the file correctly.

Does anyone have come accross similar problems?
Is this samba problem or kernel problem?

The first backup server is running RH 7.1 with samba 2.2.5
The second backup server is running RH 7.3 with standard kernel and
standard samba (2.2.3-r6a)
