I
would then turn ethereal and see what ports is supports, I do believe that its
tcp 5190?
I'm
pretty sure that he just wants to know the settings for IPChains to open up
the firewall and forward the requests to a given Windows workstation. I
used to do this before I bought a Linksys router instead.
Unfortunately, I don't recall the details of what I
did.
PCAnywhere is not supported on Linux, you have to
use VNC, just do a search for VNC and you will find it.
I have a Linux RedHat version 7.1 server. I'm
using it as a file server and a proxy server on a small network with
Windows workstations. The server is multi-homed and connected to a DSL
router. I'm using Squid as my proxy and ipchains for my firewall. I
would like to setup on a PC Anywhere host on one of the workstations so
that I can connect to it through the Linux server from home. I have spent
several hours surfing trying to find answers but so far the answers
have been a little vague. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy
