Gretings, Iam on Red Hat Linux 7.2, I did up2date --configure and made sure that the kernel wasn´t going to be ignored. I executed up2date -u and the updates were made, however the kernel was updated but up tp version: 2.4.9-34 which is not the latest kernel. The question is why does up2date refuse to update the kernel to the newest version?
