yes....the problem is solved....for those who experienced this kinda
problem...follow the steps below to rectify your loopback device...my server
was running fine all along until one day it suddenly starts getting the
"neighbour table overflow" error and even after restart the problem exists
and NIS n yp have problems starting...churning out the command ifconfig only
shows the eth0 device while loobback device is not listed.manually adding it
by typing ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1 netmask 255.0.0.0 only helps
temporarily.thus goto /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-lo and add in the
details as shown if yours doesn't yield the required info....
