It should work with kvm as I have been working with it for almost 3 years.
One simple question was it earlier working or not when u tried to install it
and second if not have u tried it with direct installation of mouse on that
port.
i.e. try installing the mouse directly connected to the pc (no KVM) if it
works than may be your kvm cable is faulty
