You are right, I can do without the iomegaware tools but among the things that I would like to have is format, read/write protection.. But I don't know if it's too hard for a newbie to install a kernel module, I can't seem to find any information on howto online and probably not one that'll speak english (dumb newbie) so that I'll understand..
