The latest release I have installed is 5.0.10 and was exceedingly easy to
get running. Do install the latest from IBM (5.0.10), they 'officially'
support RH71 with that release, although I bet that 7.2 or 7.3 would run
just as well. Previous versions (eg 5.0.4), required some chicanery with
java libs but ran fine once that was done. 5.0.10 has also been noticeably
faster for many clients.

I've found the install (CLI based) to be as easy as the NT install, and the
reliability to be phenomenal. The only real difference in installation is
that the remainder of the setup (creating the Server ID, etc) is done via
the browser. Really, no disappointments or downfalls since I started domino
on Linux early last year. You can easily copy databases from one platform to
another, but as always a good backup to CYA is in order.

Do remember that you'll have to either move apache or domino to another port
if you plan on running domino web services.

You oughta look at http://notes.net and the Gold forum for any Linux server
issues to address any specific concerns.

Hope that helps. If you need specific instructions and/or startup scripts,
feel free to message me offline.
