If these boxes talk IPSec, then have a look at FreeSWAN. If they talk anything 
else then I can't help.

You can configure your RH box to handle dial-in users, using a mixture of 
mgetty and pppd.  It's a long time since I did this and it's probably changed 
a lot since then so my best suggestion would be to look up the HOWTO.

These days my users use their own ISP connections and VPN into me.

Historically, Windows boxes talk PPTP although I believe the later ones may 
have IPSec now too. You can configure your RH box to support PPTP, and by 
configuring your kernel, I believe it will also support encryption. This is 
not something I've ever done.

WARNING:  PPTP is a horiffically weak protocol and can be relatively easily 
compromised making it an easy target for people wanting to compromise your 
network.
