I did that and it went through:
Pass1, Pass2, Pass3,

Pass4 and then asked me:
Connect to /lost+found<y>? i said yes
inode 30788 ref count is 2 should be 1 fix<y>? i said yes

Pass5 asked me:
fix summary information <y>? i said yes

then received the message:

/dev/hda1: ****File System Was Modified ****
/dev/hda1: 3853/112640 files (1.7% non-continuous) 101951/449536 blocks

Is this normal?

after i rebooted I got a message:

fsck:error in loading shared libraries
/lib/libc.so.6: undefined symbol: obstack_exit failtre

How can I fix that?
