Righto. If you disable power management (somewhere in the KDE 
configuration application) it should go away.

The KDE daemons are execed from the main kde daemon so there is 
not /etc/rc.d/init.d script. 

If you really want to disable them, you can find the daemon 
in /usr/bin and rename 
it: "mv /usr/bin/kextraneousd /usr/bin/kextraneousd.DISABLED" or some 
such.
